Our day home agency has partnered with over 150 day homes in Calgary and surrounding areas. We take care of important screening considerations for all of our educators, making us a great choice for finding the right child care for you and your family.
Please note that in order to work with us, you will need to have the following qualifications and documents. You must possess a valid security clearance, a vulnerable sector check, and a child intervention check. Additionally, all providers must have a current Child/Infant CPR First Aid Certificate. An ECE level 1 certification is required, and you must be willing to start working towards Level 2 within one year. Furthermore, you must have a yard that is fenced. Also, you must be willing to attend in-person training for at least one week before approval. Must follow the agency's direction to set up the day home environment.
It's an asset if you have your Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Level 1 , 2, or 3.
As a licensed dayhome provider, you are considered self-employed and able to set your own rates and the Agency will add a standard administration fee on top of your rate. Because we are a licensed family dayhome Agency, educators are eligible to qualify for provider support funding based on their level of education. This funding is added over and above your monthly rate.
You can have up to six children (aged 12 and under) not including your own children. You can have two children under the age of 2 or three children under the age of 3 (Including your own children).
Yes, however, we will require written permission from your landlord.
Only one person can be contracted with the Agency. Your friend/husband/sister/daughter etc only can help you when you are with children, they can not be left alone with children.
- By working through our agency, you are eligible to receive Educator support funding based on your certification (up to a maximum of 181 hours per month)

- You will be eligible for government infant care incentives ($150 / child per month) when caring for children 18 months and younger.

Yes, it is necessary. Each agency has different policies and standards, and we want to help you run a quality day home and be a successful business owner.
Renewable one-year contract, subject to renewal upon mutual agreement.
Once your application is submitted, you will be automatically added to our waitlist. We will contact you as soon as we have an available spot. If you want to switch agencies, we need your program profile from your current agency.

It's difficult to give a specific timeline for joining our agency because all approved day homes are required to give us two months' notice before withdrawing. The availability of openings also depends on the needs of the parents in the community.
